The Shire of Ravensthorpe made headlines yesterday afternoon when it was confirmed the Western Australia’s Corruption and Crime Commission is investigating the Shire.
The Shire offices were attended as part of an ongoing investigation by the Corruption and Crime Commission on Wednesday and while the Shire have a media release on their Facebook in regards to the events, it’s very brief.
The Corruption and Crime Commission Officers were provided information by the Shire and then took their leave.
Shire “openly provided information” to the Commission
The media release from Chief Executive Officer Gavin Pollock says the Shire had “openly provided information” as requested by the Corruption and Crime Commission.
“The Shire of Ravensthorpe can confirm that they are working with the Corruption and Crime Commission as part of an ongoing investigation.”

“Due to the confidentiality of the investigation the Shire is unable to provide any further information surrounding this matter at this point in time”
Operations continuing as usual
The Shire is continuing to operate as usual and has not provided any more information at the time of publication due to the investigations confidential nature.
